Come in, the water’s fine! Darlings Lake is excellent for swimming or snorkeling, with clear waters and many different fresh water fish and other species (like “Darlene the Dragon”!)
The campground has 2 playground areas overlooking the lake, making it easy for children to switch between water play and drier activities!
Try your skills and have some competitive fun with outdoor games such as horseshoes, washer toss and volleyball.
Free public beaches are just a few minutes drive from our campground, including Port Maitland Provincial beach, and Bartlett’s Beach – both with lots of sand, and gently sloping shorelines.
Darling’s Lake is home to several species of freshwater fish, including bass, trout, perch, eel and catfish. Cast your pole from the shoreline or the end of our 60′ dock, or venture out further into the lake in a canoe, kayak, or other watercraft.
Gather with family, friends and other campers around our many fire pits spaced throughout the campground. Toast marshmallows, BBQ your favorite dishes, or just bask in the warmth of a natural wood campfire.
